The waiter for an atypical and unusual coffee

The Attendant, a totally original and atypical café!

The attendant, located a stone's throw from the famous Oxford Street is an extraordinary bar that welcomes a clientele of regulars who like to meet up for a coffee or a brunch!

The little story of The Attendant !!!

Formerly a Victorian public toilet from the 1890s, the place was subsequently abandoned in the 60s. After two years of work, the old Victorian toilets are given new life to become a trendy bar which opened in January 2013 .

The Attendant, an atypical decoration!

Do you like totally unusual and atypical places? So welcome to The Attendant!
The toilets transformed into a bar have kept the decoration of the original place with humor! Indeed, porcelain urinals today serve as individual counters, the toilet flushes serve as cache pots and the former room of the lady-pee has been converted into a cozy space where you can taste their specialties. salty or sweet.
As surprising as it may seem, the place is pleasant and warm although it does not benefit from natural light.
And if you are wondering, if there is a toilet .... well the answer is yes !!!

What can we eat and drink at The Attendant?

The Attendant offers a selection of exotic coffees and teas. You can also have brunch or nibble on sandwiches, salads, quiches, cookies and cakes (£ 3-9). Some cakes and cookies are even gluten free!
All products are of high quality and come from respected producers. For example, the carefully chosen coffee comes from Caravan and the milk comes from a Jersey farm.
The Attendant was even a 2013 finalist for London's Best Coffee Award.
Here is a good plan for having breakfast, which will undoubtedly be better and cheaper than that offered in some hotels.

Who is The Attendant's clientele?

The Attendant is frequented exclusively by young Londoners in their thirties who are regulars of the place. Rather rock music is offered at a volume that allows you to easily communicate with your neighbor. This bar is therefore a good plan to meet locals and share new addresses. In short, I found the atmosphere great, relaxed and good-natured!

Conclusion

I advise you to come and take a break in this original cafe whose concept will not leave you indifferent !! Time Out London magazine considers it to be the most original coffee bar in London and the cafe itself claims to be one of the most original in Europe!

If you like unusual bars, I also advise you to visit Cahoots located in an old metro station ...
