The campground is located in a nice place with a good bus service into York a short walk away. The location is rated 5/5.
The pitches are hardstanding and of a decent size, but there are overhanging trees which may cause leaves and sap to drip onto awnings. There is a small patch of grass between each pitch, making them appear close to each other.
The facilities block is a short walk away and includes showers, toilets, sinks, and an accessible loo/baby change. The block is heated and kept clean. However, there were some issues with hot water in the sinks and showers.
Outside the facilities block, there is a small playground for children and a football pitch on-site. There is also a washing up room with sinks and coin-operated washer and dryer. The site has a peaceful, woodsy feel with various species of birds and squirrels around.
The campground is extremely pleasant with lovely staff. On evenings, it is quiet and guests are friendly and well-behaved. The site is set in woodland, providing a peaceful and serene environment for visitors.
