The leisure centre offers a 25m six lane swimming pool, a learner pool, a 90 station gym, two squash courts, a sauna, a steam room, and a studio.
Over 1000 children are taught to swim on the Swim School Programme each week.
The unique collection of community and elite facilities is governed by MCRactive, a not for profit organisation established and overseen by Manchester City Council.
The leisure centre's parent company is a charitable social enterprise and registered society under the Co-operative & Community Benefit & Societies Act 2014. They are registered under the Inland Revenue Charity number XR43398.
The staff are helpful and supportive, the facilities are clean and well-organised, the fitness sessions are excellent, and the swimming pool is relatively clean and not very busy. The drying machine for swimsuits is also mentioned as a positive feature.
