The gallery’s changing exhibition programme showcases the best in national and international art and design alongside the region’s remarkable creative talents. You’ll also find collection displays celebrating Sheffield’s metalworking prowess and the remarkable art and artefacts brought to the city by the artist and writer, John Ruskin.
Sheffield’s Metalwork Collection is one of the finest in the world, with over 800 examples of cutlery, flatware, and tableware that have made the city famous. Visitors can also see beautiful objects collected from every continent.
During your visit, you can enjoy great coffee and some truly fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches in the café, as well as shopping for gifts in the Gallery shop which offers must-have homeware, hand-crafted jewellery, books, cards, and stationery.
The Millennium Gallery down escalator is currently out of use, but step-free access to the lower floor is available via the lift or the side entrance on Cadman Lane.
Visitors can explore local water infrastructures, from historic wells to expansive reservoirs, through film, photography, sculpture, and more. Additionally, the Graves Gallery, home to the city's visual art collection, is just over the road and offers free entry.
