Visitors can expect to find a small park with historical information and displays on the history of the Castle, an interactive touch screen, children’s costumes and games, and a Roof Top viewing platform for expansive views of Rotherham and Sheffield.
Boston Park was opened on the 4 July 1876 to mark the centenary of the American Independence. It was Rotherham’s first public park.
Boston Park covers just over eight hectares and includes gardens, a cricket ground, a bowling and croquet lawn, an open area for gymnastics, and a large open area for informal recreation. It also has a side area of Canklow Woods, an ancient woodland area.
