The Household Recycling Centre is open seven days a week from 8am to 6pm from 1 April to 30 September, and from 8am to 4pm from 1 October to 31 March.
The site accepts household waste for recycling, including batteries, everyday household items, and certain types of DIY waste.
If you are using a van or trailer to dispose of waste, you will need to apply for an e-permit before visiting the site.
The site does not accept certain items such as uPVC windows and doors, car parts, tyres, clinical waste, and asbestos. Residents are encouraged to contact specialist disposal companies for these items.
Yes, Peterborough City Council offers residents a disposal service at no cost for small quantities of cement-bonded asbestos resulting from household maintenance or repair. Larger quantities may incur a charge.
