The tourist attraction is located in the heart of Northamptonshire’s Nene Valley, off the Stanwick roundabout on the A45 in East Northamptonshire.
The majority of the site’s facilities are wheelchair accessible, including the visitor centre, toilets, feeding station, water’s edge bird hides, footpaths, cycle paths, and areas within the central adventure playground.
The tourist attraction is managed as a social enterprise by a local environmental charity. All income from visitors directly supports the cost of running the site, including conservation work and educational events.
The visitor centre hosts events, family celebrations, business meetings, and craft workshops throughout the year.
In the spring of 2022, a new volunteer group was set up to help conserve the nature reserve. The team meets up monthly to undertake tasks that support the conservation efforts at the site.
