Visitors can expect to see a beautiful garden with luxuriant borders, a magical bluebell wood, a wildflower meadow, flamingoes, Peking ducks, wild ducks, and other birds. The garden is maintained with care and offers a variety of plants for sale in the nursery.
The garden has a Stableyard Cafe that serves homemade lunches and teas. There is also an extensive nursery with over a thousand varieties of plants, many of which are unusual and propagated from the garden. Additionally, there is a book available for purchase that details the owner's passion for gardening and the evolution of the garden over the years.
The garden was voted 'The Nation's Favourite Garden' in 2019 by garden visitors in conjunction with a magazine and the National Gardens Scheme. It was also featured in a Channel 5 series on Great British Gardens and described by Country Life as a 'Symphony of colour where flamingos mix with flowers.'
The garden is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 11.30am to 5.00pm. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays, except on Bank Holidays when it will be open each day throughout Bank Holiday weekends.
The book is available for £30.00 plus £5.00 for postage and packaging. Currently, copies can only be posted within the UK. To order a copy, visitors can use the button provided on the website.
