Prior to 8th July 1926, the Catholics of Woburn Sands had no parish Church and would travel to Mass at nearby towns. The first Mass in Woburn Sands was celebrated in a hotel club room by Canon Tonks of Bedford.
The new church was finally enabled to be built in 1939 with a donation from Miss Chichester. It opened on 2nd July 1956.
Fr. Edward (Ted) Golston served as parish priest for 46 years and was succeeded by Canon Stanislaus (Fr Stan) Condon. Fr. Stan served for 18 years until his retirement in 2004.
Following the retirement of Fr. Ken in September 2017, the church does not have a full-time parish priest but is now part of the Milton Keynes cluster of churches.
