Whitworth Park is a cool and charming environment with lots of friendly squirrels. It is a nice place to chill, peaceful, and good for a family day out with a kids playground. The park offers a slice of tranquility in Manchester, surrounded by stunning greenery and flowers that pop with color. It is well-kept and has a certain charm that makes it a little haven in the midst of the city bustle.
Amongst the birdlife spotted in the park are the goldfinch, greenfinch, ring necked parakeet, fieldfare, redwing, and waxwing. Drays of squirrels run free in the park, making it a fairly common sight to see them. Visitors have even had the chance to chat with the squirrels and watch them munch on nuts.
Whitworth Park offers some gym equipment and kiddie play equipment located at the far end of the park. It is a nice park to visit, perfect for a leisurely walk or unwinding. However, visitors should be prepared for muddy conditions and may want to bring wellies along.
