Club-owned campsites managed by our friendly Holiday Site Managers, offering fantastic facilities and a warm welcome. These sites are great for hassle-free getaways.

There are plenty of places to visit from the campsite. Howden and Ladybower Reservoirs, south east of the campsite are where the Dam Busters was filmed. Or head north to Holmfirth, the town known as the location for the TV series Last of the Summer Wine, which looks out over the spectacular Holme Valley. The magnificent Chatsworth House and Chatsworth Farmyard and Adventure Playground near Bakewell are a great family day out.

This campsite has limited mobile phone coverage and no TV reception. If you're backpacking along the Pennine Way, and arriving on foot carrying equipment, we will always find a way to pitch you for the night. The Bulls Head in Tintwistle serves excellent food using only locally sourced meats and vegetables. They also offer a 10% discount to Club members. There is a Farmers’ Market in Ashton-under-Lyne on the last Sunday of the month.

Our Crowden Club Site enjoys a remote location at the northern end of the Peak District National Park. The area is a walker’s paradise and our campsite reflects this. From the campsite, walkers can indulge in a gentle stroll along footpaths or stride out on a stretch of the long-distance Pennine Way. Leave the peace and quiet behind and in an hour’s drive you can enjoy the shopping and entertainment options of Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield.
