In September in London, it is still summer with many outdoor activities such as the Totally Thames festival or The Great River Race. Do not miss the festival of the Pearly Kings and Quens who parade with their traditional costumes adorned with more than 3000 mother of pearl buttons.



Finally, enjoy the exhibition at the Design Museum dedicated to director Stanley Kubrick where many accessories are presented.

August and the Notting Hill Carnival


With more than a million people, the carnival of Notting Hill is the largest in Europe. Colorful and lively, it celebrates Caribbean culture for 3 days.

The carnival begins on Saturday with a competition of steel-band orchestras then continues on Sunday with the children's parade and ends on Monday with the grand parade (10 am-00pm).

For security reasons and due to high traffic, Ladbroke Grove metro station is usually closed. Other nearby stations may be partially closed where only exits are allowed.
Finally the buses do not serve the stations on the route of the carnival.
