Do you want to get off the beaten track and stay in one of London's unusual and atypical hotels? Here is my selection of accommodation that I chose based on their past stories, their geographical location in London or the theme of the hotel (Harry Potter, rock, gin).
You will find that unusual hotel is not necessarily synonymous with expensive. Indeed, two unusual hotels offer rates from € 68 per night and a youth hostel from € 37!
Unusual! Sleep in a prison cell
Clink 78 Youth Hostel is a former Victorian courthouse where punk band The Clash was tried in 1978 for shooting high-value carrier pigeons. The place has been renovated into a design and atypical establishment where you can sleep in a prison cell or in an authentic custody room classified as English heritage. The renovated courtroom has become a place of relaxation and meeting. In the basement, the ClashBar in memory of the eponymous group, welcomes every Friday and Saturday artists and DJs who come to perform live.
This youth hostel is a great place to stay in London with attractive prices, an atypical setting and a friendly and trendy atmosphere. Clink 78 is also one of the most original and unusual youth hostels in London!
Accommodation from € 68 and breakfast only € 2.
