This so British store is little known to tourists who first go to Harrods, which is internationally renowned and has a gigantic sales area.
Located a few meters from Regent Street, Liberty is easily recognizable thanks to its magnificent half-timbered Tudor facade.
A visit to the Liberty store should be on your agenda, especially if you are sensitive to English refinement!

Brief history of the Liberty store
The Liberty store was founded in 1875 by Arthur Lasenby Liberty who came up with the idea of selling items from the British Empire (silks, Japanese porcelain).
In 1874, Liberty created a cotton fabric with a silky feel and floral motifs: the Liberty fabric was born!
As for the store that we know today with its Tudor facade, it was built in 1924 from wood from schooners of the Royal Navy.

What can we find at Liberty?
The Liberty store specializes in high-end products with many English brands but not only.
On the five levels of the store, there is a fine selection of beauty, fashion, accessories and design products.
But what makes the identity of the store are its Liberty fabrics. On the 3rd floor of the store, many floral fabrics are on sale by the meter. This department will delight seamstresses who can find a wide choice.
