Jazz Cafe is a legendary concert hall in the heart of Camden Town which has hosted the biggest names in jazz and on the international scene since its inception.
If you are a music lover and looking for a confidential and friendly place, come and listen to the sound of the Jazz Cafe!
History of the Jazz Cafe
Founded by Jon Dabner and Jean Marshall, the Jazz Cafe opened its doors in the Newington district in the 1980s. Building on its success, the Jazz Cafe moved in 1990 to a larger venue to accommodate an ever-increasing audience. He moved to the Camden Town district in the former premises of a branch of Barclays Bank.
Since its creation, the Jazz Cafe has welcomed jazz musicians such as Archie Shepp, Eddie Harris or Jimmy Smith. And more recently Amy Winehouse, Jamiroquai, Her and Lana Del Rey… to name only the most famous!
Live concerts at the Jazz Cafe
With a capacity of only 420 people, Jazz Cafe is an intimate concert hall with 2 spaces.
The first, on the ground floor, is the bar and a small stage where musicians and the public are face to face a few centimeters away.
The second, on the first floor overlooking the stage and where you can dine while enjoying the show and even dance!
On the programming side, many musical genres are in the spotlight such as jazz, R & B, hip hop, soul, salsa or even disco! Each evening, the room is colored with a different musical atmosphere in a warm and pleasant setting. Another important point is that the sound intensity is not very high and the acoustics are good.
I invite you to discover the program via the site de See Tickets which references all the events of the Jazz Cafe.
Dinner at the Jazz Cafe
The tables are on the first floor on the mezzanine where 69 people can dine while enjoying a direct view of the stage.
The cuisine, although simple, is made from fresh, quality products. For such a concept of a concert restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised. It is not haute cuisine but the dishes are good with a very decent value for money.
In addition, the service is professional and responsive with a smiling and attentive team.
What's the vibe?
Friendly and relaxed atmosphere where we dance as well on the track as on the first floor.

The public is mainly Londoners, accustomed to places and music lovers.
Can children come to the Jazz Cafe?
