Since July 2015, the Macron law has liberalized the long-distance coach transport market. The direct consequences of this law are the multiplication of national and international lines as well as the appearance of new companies such as Ouibus, Flixbus or Isilines, a subsidiary of Eurolines. With ultra-competitive prices, the bus becomes the cheapest means of transport in France, competing with the train and carpooling.
Here is an overview of the companies OUIBUS, Flixbus et Eurolines which offer many connections between France and London and even from certain Belgian cities! Do not hesitate to compare their services and their prices to choose the company that best meets your expectations.
Bus travel: what comfort and what services on board?
The three companies Eurolines, Flixbus and Ouibus offer similar services on board their buses, namely: wifi, electrical outlets, toilets accessible during the trip, reclining seats and air conditioning.
Ouibus also has adjustable footrests and Flixbus offers the sale of drinks and snacks on board.
Tips for cheaper travel by bus!
Take advantage of reduced rates for children, young people and seniors
Eurolines offers a 5% reduction for young people aged 12 to 25 and seniors over 60. Children aged 4 to 11 can benefit from reductions ranging from -40 to 80%. Finally, the trip is free for children under 4 years old.
Travel in a group
Some companies offer 10% reductions for groups of 10 people or more. Eurolines offers the 11th place for a group booking and Ouibus directly deducts 10% when booking.
