Presentation of the Duck & Waffle
The Duck & Waffle opened in 2011 atop the Heron Tower in the business district of the City.
The restaurant quickly becomes a trendy place for its modern and inventive cuisine, its chic decoration and above all an impressive view of London from more than 200 m high!
The Duck & Waffle consists of a panoramic restaurant, a cocktail bar and a private dining room which can be hired for private events.
To access the restaurant, you will take a transparent elevator that will take you in 40 seconds to the 40th floor of the Heron Tower.
What do we eat at the Duck & Waffle restaurant?
The dishes are the fusion of typical British flavors and modern European cuisine, resulting in original and beautifully dressed creations.
The signature dish is obviously Duck & Waffle, in other words crispy duck served on a waffle and under a fried egg; all served with maple syrup. Surprising and delicious recipe!
Important note, the restaurant does not spontaneously serve bread during the service. You will therefore have to order it in addition. Nothing to do with our traditional baguette, here the bread looks more like a revisited cheese naan. A true delight !
The desserts are also beautiful and good with a special mention for the Baked Alaska, a meringue ice cream flavored with honey and thyme and accompanied by lemon jam and buckwheat cream.
Finally, each dessert is offered with a glass of wine.

How much does a meal cost at Duck & Waffle?
The prices are up to the frame. Count around £ 30 per person for a main course and dessert. To this must be added the service which is not included, ie approximately 10%.
It is certainly not a gift but that beautiful memories in perspective!

The welcome and service are refined and upscale without being snobbish. The servers are courteous, attentive and take the time to present the dishes and answer questions.

Can we take pictures?
Yes we can take pictures of the restaurant but also of the magnificent view. However, if like me you have a bridge type camera with a zoom, you will be asked for security reasons not to take a picture outwards with this type of camera.
Is there a dress code for going to the Duck & Waffle?
To use the restaurant's terms, the dress code is “Casual Elegance”, in other words sport chic. The jeans-basketball outfit is tolerated provided that the jeans are not perforated and that the trainers are sneakers and not running.
This dress code is also valid in the evening and men must also wear a shirt or jacket.
Do you need to make a reservation for lunch or dinner at Duck & Waffle?
Whether for breakfast, brunch or dinner the reservation is in-dis-pen-sable ! You can anticipate and book up to 2 months in advance.
WARNING !! Approximately 2 days before the reservation date, you will receive an email from Duck & Waffle asking you to confirm your reservation. Be careful, the email can arrive in junk mail and slip into oblivion. Be careful because if you do not confirm your reservation, it will be automatically canceled… and there it is!
