User FAQs

The Level 2 foyer spaces at the Royal Festival Hall are currently being refurbished to bring visitors a brand new cafe, bar, shop, and Ticket Office.

Aside from the 2,700 capacity auditorium, visitors can also explore The Clore Ballroom, National Poetry Library, Members’ Lounge, and Skylon restaurant at the Royal Festival Hall.

The Royal Festival Hall is open from Monday to Tuesday from 10am to 6pm, and Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 11pm. On event days, the building remains open until the end of the event.

The nearest tube and train stations within a 5-7 minute walk are Waterloo (Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee, and Waterloo & City lines) and Embankment (District & Circle lines). There are also several bus routes with stops 2-5 minutes from the venue. Visitors can find more information on getting to the Royal Festival Hall by road, rail, or river on the website.

There is a cloakroom in the Blue Side Foyer, Level 4 of the Royal Festival Hall. It costs £1 per item (card only) and opens about an hour before ticketed events, closing around 15 minutes after the performance ends. The cloakroom can be accessed via Lifts 4 & 5, Blue Side, Royal Festival Hall. Any sized item, including fold-away bicycles, can be left in the cloakroom, but non-folding bicycles are not accepted. Items must be collected on the same day they are stored, and the cloakroom may not be available at times. Large bags over 40 x 25 x 25cm are not allowed in the auditorium, so visitors are advised to leave them at home.
