Le Gavroche was the only French restaurant of its kind in London, offering the very best of classical French food with the highest standards of cooking and service.
Le Gavroche was run by Albert's son, Michel Roux Jr, from 1991.
The restaurant on Upper Brook Street closed its doors in January 2024, but the 'Le Gavroche' name continues to be present in pop-ups both in the UK and abroad, as well as in Michel's other ventures.
A standout dish for one customer was a smokey grilled scarlet prawn in a dashi broth, perfectly tailored to their tastes.
For another customer, the dining experience was described as extraordinary, with elegant ambiance, attentive staff, exceptional French cuisine, and a memorable evening overall.
